Community Guidelines
The house rules, in plain language. Reporting and blocking work on every plan.
1. The general idea
PartyCall is a place for friends to talk. The standard is simple: treat other people the way you would want to be treated in someone else's voice room.
These guidelines are in plain language on purpose. Almost nobody reads terms of use, but people do read the house rules.
2. What is not allowed
With people
- Harassment, stalking, or threats, inside or outside the room.
- Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, religious intolerance, and any other form of discrimination.
- Inciting violence against a person or a group.
- Sharing someone else's personal data without their permission.
- Insisting on contact with someone who asked to be left alone.
With content
- Sexual content involving minors, in any form, real or generated.
- Non-consensual sexual content, including intimate images shared without permission.
- Encouragement of suicide, self-harm, or eating disorders.
- Content that violates someone else's copyright.
- Malware, scams, phishing, or pyramid schemes.
With the service
- Getting around a ban by creating another account.
- Trying to get around technical limits, permissions, or security mechanisms.
- Automating use in a way that gets in other people's way.
3. Protection of minors
This section has no middle ground and does not allow for mitigating context.
- The minimum age to use PartyCall is to be defined years.
- Any sexual content involving a minor leads to an immediate and permanent ban, with no prior notice.
- We report the case to the competent authorities and keep the records the law requires.
- Grooming a minor, even without explicit content, gets the same treatment.
If you suspect that someone below the minimum age is using the service, or that a minor is being approached, write immediately tochannel being defined. Reports of this kind take priority over every other queue.
4. How to report
There are two paths, and both work on any plan:
- Inside the community: talk to an administrator. They can mute, kick, and ban.
- Directly with us: write to channel being defined, especially if the problem is with the community administrator themselves.
To speed things up, include in the report:
- the name of the community and of the room;
- who is involved;
- when it happened, even if only roughly;
- what happened, and any evidence you have.
Reporting and blocking work on every plan, including the free one. Security is not a paid feature.
5. What happens after a report
- We confirm we received it within deadline to be defined.
- We review the case and may ask for more information.
- We decide and tell the person who reported it what we found.
- Cases that involve minors or a risk to life are handled first.
We do not tell the person reported who reported them, unless the law requires it.
6. Sanctions
The sanction is proportional to what happened, and we take repeat violations into account. In rising order: warning, content removal, temporary mute, account suspension, permanent ban.
Violations of section 3, about minors, go straight to a permanent ban, with no escalation.
7. How to appeal
If you were sanctioned and you disagree, write tochannel being defined withindeadline to be defined, explaining why you believe the decision was wrong.
The appeal is reviewed by someone who did not make the original decision. We reply within deadline to be defined with the decision and the reason. If we recognize a mistake, the sanction is undone and access is restored.
